Litterblitz on the commons 28th March - 7th April

Once a year, the Society makes a special effort to clear out the debris that has accumulated over the winter months. Much of it is caught up among the bushes at the side of the roads.   Some of it is amongst brambles, so if you would like to help, thick gloves would be an advantage.  It would be great to remove all this before the spring growth hides it.

Many thanks to everyone who collects rubbish throughout the year as they go around the Commons on their regular walks.

We would like to give our special thanks to Sarah Tricks and her group from Beds, Bucks and Herts Geocachers for help in clearing around the Rose and Crown, and also to Janet Hopkinson for a great job in clearing Hawridge Hill.

Look out for our Litterblitz signs where you will be able to collect a bin bag for the rubbish you find.

The Litterblitz will run from Saturday 28th March until after Easter on Tuesday 7th April.  As usual, we will be providing bin bags at three collection points, located at the top of Church Path in Hawridge, on the open grassy space on the Common opposite the school and at the Cricket Club car park.

You can leave any used bags at these points, and we will arrange for the Council to take them away on the next collection day.
